House of Hope
When the HIV/AIDS epidemic struck Ukraine in the 1990s, it devastated children and their families. Parents died without hope, leaving behind orphaned children. Offering these children hope in the name of Jesus Christ became Larysa Ovsii's passion.
Doctors and nurses from Minnesota joined Larysa, serving as volunteers and participating in clinics and educational opportunities in schools and churches. Larysa's vision soon expanded to love and care for all children with special needs.
Her dream became a reality with The House of Hope in Poltava, Ukraine. Summer day camps for children with special needs, programs for teens with special needs, daycare facilities and educational art classes are now available for special needs children and their families. Hope in Jesus is changing the lives of these vulnerable children and their families.
